With You We Can LTD

With You We Can is a victimled network demystifying the police and legal processes. Uniquely informed by sector and lived expertise, we want victims for whom it is safe to report to be empowered to do so, and for all victims to be informed of their options. If we create understanding around our justice system, not just for victims but for the public who might otherwise not engage, we are better placed to reform it. Our knowledge hub continues to debunk myths that discredit victims and exonerate perpetrators, break down legal terms by jurisdiction, contextualise victims and offenders in Australia's policy landscape and uniquely outline processes for victims from police reporting to criminal proceedings, and post court complaint options. It also offers guidance around alternatives to reporting, restorative justice and healing. We partnered with advocates, experts and services across the country to build awareness of sexual violence, and the role we all play in preventing and addressing it. Our advocacy led to the recommendation by the Australian Law Reform Commission that victims of sexual violence be afforded independent legal representation to support their engagement with the justice system and increase the integrity of the system for all.
