Wildlife Asia provided funding support to local partners to undertake the following conservation activities, protecting wildlife and habitat in Asia; *operation of Wildlife Protection Units and Community Ranger teams to prevent wildlife poaching and illegal activities such as logging and encroachment *strategic conservation planning with local forestry department *conduct wildlife surveys and analysis and publication of data *support sustainable development and alternative livelihoods in local communities *capacity building within local NGO's and relevant departments *rescue, rehabilitation and reintroduction of critically endangered wildlife * reforestation
