WICEN NSW is a specialist communications support squad of VRA Rescue NSW providing emergency communications to VRA and other Emergency Service Agencies in times of need. WICEN also provides safety communications support to community based and charitable organisations to manage events and activities. Activities that help achieve our work include, manage and provide training activities for members, practice search and rescue exercises in conjunction with other agencies, use and maintain amateur radio repeaters in the amateur radio spectrum and commercial radio spectrum. This enables the membership to assist the communities in which they live.
