We provided advice & information to the public & government departments on conserving, protecting and enhancing the natural environment. We promoted our projects such as the Discovery Trail, better safeguards for the Great Barrier Reef and better recycling. We lobbied against the use of environmentally damaging practices in our region. We used our website to promote environmental information & news on key issues in our region such as runoff, marine life management and caring for injured and threatened land & marine wildlife. We liaised with other environmental organisations to foster an active involvement by the community for their benefit, understanding and enjoyment.
