We deliver programs and provide community space that respond to community need and promote the wellbeing of individuals, families and groups, especially those experiencing disadvantage or vulnerable people. These groups or individuals refer to people that: identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQI, culturally and linguistically diverse, seniors, youth, women or people with a disability. people who are experiencing disadvantage or are vulnerable due to poverty, low income, deprivation, capabilities and social exclusion. people who are experiencing homelessness, mental health conditions, separation, divorce, domestic and family violence and/ or crisis people based in rural and remote areas Delivering projects and programs that assist in relieving poverty and distress. Encouraging the local community to participate in developing skills and knowledge to improve their health and wellbeing Providing opportunities to local people for volunteer participation, thereby encouraging and promoting community and civic pride. Addressing social injustice through advocacy, lobbying, social action and support Delivering support services to families that encourages family development and; to manage conflict together and prevent breakdown. Developing community focussed activities with inclusion for all, to reduce isolation and disengaged Providing a space for people in the community to meet as groups and individuals with a focus on facilitating better access to health and wellbeing services and supporting social and recreational endeavours. Caring for, supporting and protecting children and young individuals through the provision of a child care service Providing knowledge and skills in support of establishing independent selfhelp groups Continuously assessing the needs of citizens to further develop this community
