Westgate Biodiversity: Bili Nursery & Landcare Incorporated

We promoted biodiversity through our work in collecting seed, propagating and planting indigenous plant species at Westgate Park. This year we organised a community festival, Naturefest, held on the Yarra River to promote environmental activities and groups associated with Westgate Park and the surrounding area. We engage with the community in citizen science. A core group of volunteers works throughout the year in weeding and planting in Westgate Park. Bili Nursery propagates and sells several hundred thousand plants to councils and other customers.
