About West Kimberley Futures - Empowered Communities LTD
As of 30 June 2024, ECWest s membership stands strong with 27 Aboriginal organisations actively engaged. Our members gather each quarter at Local Management Committee meetings held in four locations, driving the focus and direction of our initiatives. Together we are shaping positive change across our region with significant milestones achieved. We have come a long way since ECWest began operations in 2021 and our journey is far from over. Achieving our vision of generational change and meaningful impact requires your continued involvement and commitment. ECWest has made significant progress collaboratively advancing our first priorities (2023). In March 2024 the ECWest board of directors attended a strategic planning day considering the outcome of the December 2023 EC leaders summit in Queensland and refreshed the priorities of ECWest. We are working closely with our four established Local Management Committee's (LMC's) to select new placed based initiatives aligned to the six domains to inform our 2024 West Kimberley Regional Development Agenda (WKRDA), which will supersede the 2023 Our First Priorities Plan. The WKRDA will include details of local initiative plans developed through our four LMC s and other stakeholder groups such as the Derby Aboriginal Corporations Alliance and the Fitzroy Council of Chairs.
