West Australian Ballet Company

West Australian Ballet is the State ballet company for Western Australia, based in Perth, and is proud of its heritage as Australia s oldest professional ballet company established in 1952 by Madame Kira Bousloff of the Ballets Russes. Season 2024 opened with Metamorphosis: Ballet at the Quarry, followed by La Bayadere, State, Genesis and Romeo and Juliet. The season closed with The Sleeping Beauty. The regional dance engagement program visited 9 locations over the year, a total of 22 weeks on the road. By Year's end, 56,241 people had enjoyed WAB's performances. Metropolitan adult ballet classes had 25,206 attendees.In addition to this WAB ran school holiday workshops, masterclass and ballet training programs and regional workshops. Junior members for 2024 were 262.
