During the 2024 reporting period, programs focused on communities in Lombok and Sumbawa. Installation of water filtration systems to provide communities with improved access to safe drinking water. Installation and improvement of toilet and sanitation facilities in remote communities. Installation of associated hygiene facilities, including wash basins and showers. Working with local partners and community representatives to support implementation, operation and ongoing use of the facilities. Continuing to raise awareness of clean water, sanitation and hygiene needs through the charity s community and supporter network. These projects supported Waves for Water Australia s purpose of improving access to clean water and basic sanitation while helping communities establish practical, longterm water and hygiene solutions.
