1. Assisting disadvantaged young persons to develop the social and personal skills necessary for them to live independently and successfully within community. 2. Provide counselling, information and referral services to respond to the needs to disadvantaged young people. 3. Encouraging schools and community services to respond to the needs of disadvantaged young people. 4. Enhancing the access of disadvantaged young people and their families to support and assistance by developing partnerships between schools, community organisations, work industries and the community; and 6. Developing projects to enhance the economic and social opportunities for disadvantaged young people, so as to alleviate the possible effects of poverty and helplessness within the community.
