VA AUS arranged The First Ever Reunion and Charity Event on 15th July in Melbourne. Over 115 alumni from Victoria joined with their family, with over 260+ people in attendance . Viqarunnisa Alumni Australia (VAAUS) raised $5000 (Five Thousand Dollars) for the organization Women s Health Victoria, Mental Health Division. Women s Health Victoria established the Women s Mental Health Alliance in 2019 in the context of the Royal Commission into Victoria s Mental Health System. VA AUS arranged The First Ever Reunion and Charity Event on 7th October in Adelaide. Over 60 Viqi s from SOUTH AUSTRALIA joined with their family, with over 160+ people in attendance. VAAUS raised $3000 ( Three Thousand Australian Dollars ) for the organization Little Heroes Foundation which is a notforprofit that supports the mental and physical health of South Australian children. The team at Little Heroes Foundation strives to be: Inclusive, Inspirational, Effective, and Fun. Their mission is to raise funds towards essential equipment and services for children suffering from physical or mental illness. Their vision is to fulfill the unmet needs of seriously ill children and their families, to ensure they have access to the very best care, regardless of how rare the diagnosis is. VAAUS (Viqarunnisa Alumni Australia) organized the Chaity Event in celebration of the Victory Day of Bangladesh. This event aimed to support the Bangladeshi Senior Citizens Welfare Project of the organization Sydney Bangla Womens Network (SBWN), for which a generous donation of $2500 (Two Thousand and Five Hundred Australian Dollar) was made. The Charity Event took place on Saturday 18th November. The formal program began with the national anthem of Bangladesh and Australia being played as a mark of respect. There was a Kid s Art Competition, and the paintings were show cased in the event. The success of the VAAUS morning tea and charity event, with a gathering of around 175 people, including a significant representation of Viqarunnisa alumni and women from diverse backgrounds, speaks volumes about the unity and solidarity within the community. Viqarunnisa Alumni Australia raised in raising funds for EAT Up Australia. The initiative to support children in need who may be facing food insecurity during school hours is a testament to the deep commitment to social responsibility and community welfare. SHARED THE DIGNITY is an organization dedicated to supporting disadvantaged women by providing essential sanitary products like pads and tampons, ensuring these women can manage their periods with dignity and confidence.
