VMCH's main activities were: provision of residential aged care, community care services, respite care, retirement living and lowcost housing options for the elderly; supported accommodation for people with disabilities; education services for children with disabilities; community support and respite services for older persons and people with disabilities, their families and carers; life skills enhancement and wellbeing programs including day therapy programs for older people and people with disabilities; and social work, administrative and resource services to support all VMCH programs. The outcomes and activities helped achieve VMCH's purpose of relieving poverty, suffering, distress etc. (as set out in clause 4.1 of VMCH's Constitution) by providing services set out above in the activities.
