To directly assist, encourage and facilitate the education and educational opportunities of young Aboriginal people in Victoria in the well founded belief that the obtaining of a proper education, including numeracy and literacy skills are important in enabling Aboriginal people to overcome long established economic and social disadvantage. To establish, maintain and support local Aboriginal communities to assist in this fulfilment. To develop policies and programs in relation to Aboriginal education and to promote those policies and program to the relevant groups including Aboriginal communities, schools, families and students.
