Victorian Aboriginal Community Services Association Limited

The Victorian Aboriginal Community Services Association Limited is the statewide peak body providing advice to the Government on a range of issues. It is a communitybased, communitycontrolled organisation comprising representatives from Koorie organisations across the State. The VACSAL structure reflects the commitment of the organisation to culturally strong service delivery to Koorie youth, families, and communities. It is a commitment based on ensuring the survival of the Aboriginal culture in Victoria in a way that maintains the uniqueness and integrity of Koorie culture. The VACSAL's charity activities this financial year included; working with youth, providing secure and safe accommodation, and healthy meals. VACSAL also supported the youth with other such as Legal issues, employment, and educational matters. VACSAL has ongoing support with various community members, clients across all genders, assisting families through the early years. VACSAL assists them in activities such as sports and recreation, healthy living, family violence situations, men and women's businesses. VACSAL can provide familycentered programs and services that demonstrate cultural integrity and support individuals, their families, and the community. VACSAL's work involves representing and advocating for the Victorian Aboriginal Community.
