In 2024, the United States Studies Centre (USSC) at the University of Sydney advanced its mission by providing robust, evidencebased analysis on US politics and global affairs, helping Australian and international audiences navigate complex geopolitical developments. Its research and commentary reached readers and viewers in over 200 countries. That year, the USSC also achieved the highest media share of voice among Australian think tanks. Through flagship publications like Red Book/Blue Book and events such as the Sydney International Strategy Forum, the USSC continued to address major geopolitical challenges. It engaged closely with governments, industry, and academia to explore solutions on issues including economic security, AUKUS implementation, and regional cooperation. On the academic front, USSC achieved record enrolments in American Studies and launched its Washington, DC study tour, giving students direct insight into US democracy. The Centre also deepened engagement with regional partners through new initiatives with Japan, Korea, India and others. In all of this, the USSC remained focused on delivering analysis, insights and solutions that contribute meaningfully to foreign policy debates.
