The UMA is at the forefront of providing services to the local and wider community, successfully holding drug and alcohol education sessions and panel presentations, facilitating regular educational and physical education programmes for youth aged from 918 (over 200 regular weekly participants), youth leadership and mentoring, as well as career counselling and support. We provide a high quality gym facility with exceptional equipment and engaging fitness classes ranging from boot camps to boxing to mixed martial arts for all ages. The adjacent sports hall is also utilised for community functions as well as sporting competitions and events including basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Advancement of religion is a cornerstone of the UMA activities; it provides state of the art facilities for Islamic worship, including the 5 daily prayers, and holding continuous programmes which foster awareness of Islamic religious beliefs and practices, including its flagship course entitled Towards Understanding Islam . The UMA has a number of structured educational courses tailored for all age ranges which expound classical and balanced Islamic knowledge. The UMA is involved with and proudly support annual events and commemorations, including Harmony Day, the No Excuse For Abuse antidomestic violence march, and Clean Up Australia Day.
