About Twich East Community Association Nsw Incorporated
The Association was established as a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) with a mission deeply rooted in addressing the challenges faced by vulnerable communities, particularly refugees and migrant groups. Its primary focus is on individuals coming from wartorn regions, with a special emphasis on supporting South Sudanese communities, including the Twich East Community in NSW. The association aim to provide limited support to people in need in South Sudan as well. The organisation s efforts are centred around alleviating the various forms of disadvantage experienced by these groups, whether social, economic, or psychological. Many refugees and migrants, particularly those from South Sudan, have endured extreme hardships due to conflict, displacement, and trauma. Upon arriving in Australia, they often encounter additional barriers to integration, such as language difficulties, limited access to education and employment, cultural isolation, and systemic discrimination. These barriers hinder people from achieving their full potential.
