Tumut & District Neighbourhood Centre Inc

The Tumut & District Neighbourhood Centre is a primarily funded by NSW Community & Justice. The centre is a community based organisation who work with individuals, families, service providers and community groups to provide access to information, resources, and service. The centre is accessible to all members of the community.We provide immediate financial assistance and direct those in need to appropriate service for further assistance. The centre receives a grant from the Department of Social Services and supports individuals and families in a financial crisis. This emergency relief program helps address immediate basic needs by providing food vouchers help with transport costs, medicine and in critical circumstances accommodation. Our opportunity shop raises funds for the centre. We sell items at a low cost and supply people who maybe in need at no cost. Our emergency support program provides a safety net for people experiencing financial distress or hardship and who have limited means of resources to help alleviate their situation. We also recognise that resources and priority must be directed towards the most disadvantaged and least powerful groups in the community.
