Trust For Nature (Victoria)

We are one of Australia s oldest conservation organisations, established in 1972. Donors remain central to the Trusts mission both through donation and bequest support and through gifts of land. Our mission is to work collaboratively to protect nature on private land so that Victoria s most threatened plants and wildlife are conserved for future generations. We hold a unique power in Victoria, enshrined in legislation, to protect private land by applying conservation covenants to property titles in agreement with landholders. So far, we have protected more than 116,000 ha of native habitat through a mix of conservation covenants and nature reserves.
