Torres Strait Islanders Regional Education Council Incorporated

The Torres Strait Islanders Regional Education Council (TSIREC) is a unique organisation with a very special charter to represent the Torres Strait Nation's interests on education, training, and employment agendas. For over 40 years, TSIREC has been the key communitybased advocacy body, providing the essential link between Torres Strait communities and government. Since 2000, we have worked as a key service provider with both State and Commonwealth Governments to ensure our communities are engaged in the reforming of government policy and practice in the Torres Strait.
