Thirroul Surfclub's motto is Excellence in aquatic safety. Our mission is to save lives, create great Australians and build a better community. Our programs include: Surf life saving patrols by volunteers for safety on the beach , who are rostered every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays during the SLSNSW mandated patrol season. Training programs for seniors, youth and juniors to ensure that their surf life saving and aquatic skills are maintained at the required level Junior activities, also known as nippers, to teach essential water skills and beach safety for young members of the community Surf sports programs to encourage our seniors, youth and juniors to compete and become proficient life savers now and into of the future Support to emergency services as part of the overall NSW emergency management framework Promotion of physical and mental well being through active sports programs and community engagement Through these activities, Thirroul Surf Lifesaving Club helps build community capacity and promotes social inclusion and diversity The Club is run by volunteers, supported by the community, and is funded through its own fundraising efforts, charitable donations and government grants.
