The Village Resource Inc

During The Village's infancy work has continued, to help achieve our vision a community of connection and support for our youth. We have built and continue to update our website full of information and resources, and a list of local service providers who can support all youth issues. We are active on social media with ideas promoting connection and relationship building with our youth, and promoting other aligned professional services along the way. On both the website and social media channels parents, carers and youth in crisis can access the Village's Adolescent Suicide Action Plan which provides the clearest and most helpful path to supports during times of great distress. The Village has held workshops for parents around school attendance difficulties which have received reports of reducing stress and distress within families and increased calm and connection through information, strategies and peer support. We have been active in the community providing education to services on school attendance difficulties and were invited to participate in community events such as the Big Ideas Forum. The work continues.
