The University Of Melbourne Medical Students' Society Inc.

The University of Melbourne Medical Students' Society is the peak representative body for the cohort of students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine program. Our main aims are to provide support and guidance to medical students, and engage with the broader community by having an active role in various advocacy. We provide a strong voice for medical students and actively campaign for their rights, with a particular focus on addressing disadvantage and discrimination. Moreover, we have numerous working groups that promote and advocate for the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples, those with disabilities, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Our charity is also extensively involved in campaigning at the local, state, and national levels. We are affiliated with the Medical Students' Council of Victoria, the Australian Medical Students' Association, and the Australian Medical Association, all of whom support us in our objectives.
