Inspiring, Educating and Conserving: Wild Mountains provided our environmental education programs for youth and the community in the SEQ. We hosted events for local bushwalkers and an environmentally inspired women; Held residential workshop for women performers focussing on experiencing nature and translating that into songwriting, performing and recording; Hosted an eco art retreat for community; Hosted university students from Griffith University under their community volunteer internship program; Held weekends helping maintain the centre infrastructure, as well as gardening weekends focussed on food growing; Hosted landcare weekends focussed on weeding and tree planting as part of our forest regeneration and ongoing land management; Conducted weekend workshops with both theory and practice concentrating on fire management; Maintained an educational online presence, conducted educational outreach to local schools.
