The Sydney Film Festival is an iconic public facing international film festival. It plays a vital role in the Australian screen ecology. From modest origins in 1954 the Festival has groan dramatically in scale and stature screening the best new Australian and International films in venues across Sydney. The Festival also reaches 15 regional communities through the Travelling Film Festival which has toured New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory since 1974.
