The Sunrise Project Australia Limited

Driven by the imperative of climate justice, The Sunrise Project's mission is to scale social movements to drive the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy as swiftly as possible. This year, we furthered that mission by collaborating with community partners to protect Australia's environment. Our efforts focused on advocating for energy solutions that are compatible with the Paris Climate Agreement, harnessing the potential of renewable energy to position Australia as a world leader in climate solutions. We worked to build public support for stronger climate action at all levels of government and within the corporate sector. Additionally, we encouraged global financial institutions to leverage their market power and regulatory influence to drive the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. We also advocated for the prevention of public finance being used to subsidise new fossil fuel projects.
