About The Solution Network Australia Foundation
1. We engaged with women who have or are at risk of disengaging from adult education and training and, therefore, at risk of longterm unemployment. 2. We engaged those who were not actively involved with Jobs Queensland, working less than 15 hours per week, and were at risk of remaining in poverty due to unemployment or underemployment; upskill and increase their employability skills to gain fulltime employment or to become selfemployed. 3. We engaged with those experiencing homelessness, especially Indigenous women, to connect with support networks and reduce their current risk factors for remaining homeless. 4. We provided a free training program for single mothers or those who have recently survived abusive relationships to gain business and digital literacy skills to enhance their selfemployment opportunities for working from home. 5. We supported a community program, EliteEdge Football Academy, to provide young people at risk of selfharming behaviours, disconnection from support networks, and disconnecting from education and training with local sporting coaches and other local young people.
