About The sisterhood project inc

In 2024, The Sisterhood Project made significant progress in fulfilling its mission of saving children s lives by empowering caregivers with lifesaving first aid skills and improving access to health education, particularly in underserved communities. Our efforts have directly contributed to reducing preventable childhood injuries and fatalities through targeted education and community support. Key Achievements: Expanding First Aid Training for Caregivers Delivered 20 free first aid courses across Victoria, training 357 caregivers, exceeding our initial goal. Focused on reaching rural, remote, and low socioeconomic communities, ensuring parents and carers had access to critical emergency response skills. Provided tailored training for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, improving culturally relevant health education. Enhancing Digital Accessibility Progressed the development of an openaccess first aid learning app, designed to reach caregivers Australiawide with microlearning modules on responding to childhood emergencies. Expanded online resources, including downloadable guides and multilingual materials to support diverse caregivers. Strengthening Community and Corporate Partnerships Secured 8 new partnerships with health organisations, local councils, and community groups to scale our impact. Increased funding through grants, sponsorships, and fundraising initiatives, ensuring sustainability for future programs. Measuring Impact and Continuous Improvement Conducted posttraining surveys, with participants reporting increased a double in confidence in handling childhood medical emergencies. Strengthened our volunteer coordination and risk management policies to improve program delivery and efficiency. By delivering lifesaving education and breaking down barriers to access, The Sisterhood Project continues to create a safer future for children and their caregivers across Australia. We remain committed to expanding our impact in the coming year, with a focus on scaling digital resources, increasing course availability, and securing sustainable funding to ensure more families receive the training they need.
