About The River Nile Learning Centre Inc.
Adult and older women from refugee, asylum seeker, and migrant backgrounds in Australia face significant challenges, including limited English proficiency, barriers to employment, and the impacts of trauma on mental health. These issues often result in social isolation and economic disadvantage, hindering their ability to participate fully in their communities. RNLC, as a notforprofit organisation committed to equity and inclusion, delivers intervention programs to address these challenges. Our English as an Additional Language (EAL), Numeracy, and Digital Literacy programs equip them with essential skills for navigating daily life, accessing job opportunities, and building confidence. To compliment this, our Community Services program helps participants access vital government services, while our Wellbeing program addresses immediate needs such as food security. These programs are developed to ensure that these women can participate in society with autonomy and dignity.
