The Migrant Centre Organisation Inc.

TMC is a notforprofit charitable organisation that promotes the benefit of multiculturalism, differences of opinion, and the contribution of all communities. TMC advocates for assists and supports people of CALD backgrounds who may be: newly arrived migrants and refugees, firstgeneration migrants disadvantaged jobseekers including those reliant on government income support, at risk of lifelong dependence on menial casual employment, at risk of generational unemployment victims of domestic and family violence, and family conflict older victims who are at risk of isolation, mental health issues and vulnerable to elder abuse experiencing mental health issues such as posttraumatic stress disorder, suicidal ideation youth at risk of disconnection from community, homelessness; at risk of radicalisation. In the 202324 financial year, TMC received over $55,000 in charitable donations from the wider and multicultural communities, in the form of goodwill from volunteers; refurbished goods such as furniture, computers, services such as driving instructors or mentors for TMC driving program; Christmas gifts for children and elders. TMC's reputation as a benevolent and charitable organisation has strengthened links with community organisations such as Soroptimist International Gold Coast, Labrador Senior Citizen Centre, Rotary Club and Lion's Club, who donated significant volunteer hours to support TMC's benevolent activities.
