We provided affordable short term retreat accommodation on 22 acres of mixed bushland, orchards, gardens and fields for people seeking nature connection and spiritual retreat and renewal, see https://www.gembrookretreat.org.au We provided spiritual direction sessions and day retreats for those seeking to deepen their retreat experiences. We worked with volunteers to maintain the land eg. indigenous plant revegetation, weed control, orchard tasks, planting and maintaining the gardens, harvesting chestnuts, flowers, fruit, fire plan cleanups. We ran workshops and events on the land for members of the public that invited people to experience Active Hope in times of change and crisis, soulful responses to seasons, and listening to First Nations people.
