About The Malcolm and Margaret Carbins Trust Fund
Our charity s work helps achieve its mission and main aims by providing financial assistance to young artists via the Royal South Australian Society of Arts Youthscape Art Prize Exhibition with a $6,000 grant and the Adelaide Central School of Art School Leaver Scholarship of $5,000 paid in two $2,500 amounts in January and July each year. Also via an annual $12,000 ($36,000 in total) grant to the UniSA's Contemporary Art Program for the next 3 years. Beneficiaries of this grant are graduating emerging artists undertaking further studies at UniSA's Contemporary Art Program to expand their technical skills and contemporary art practices. A $1,000 grant was paid to the Mitcham Village Arts Crafts Association and $10,000 grant was committed to with the Centre for Creative Photography. It will allow an individual to study either the Certificate IV in Photography and Digital Imaging, or the Diploma in Photography and Digital Imaging (with a preferable focus within an Art Major / Art Stream) offered by the Centre for Creative Photography (CCP). All of the grants provide an opportunity for young and emerging artists to exhibit their artwork and support their further development in art.
