We continued to create a welcoming, responsive, inclusive and supportive environment, working with the community to help it meet the needs of individuals, families and community groups in the local area. We offered a range of educational, recreational and social activities tailored specifically to the local community's needs; in addition to larger community events, referrals and support to increase community participation and enhance social cohesion. The centre were recognised for its work. The centre recieved two awards from our peak body, Community Centres SA being the 'Catalyst For Change' and 'Unity Through Diversity'; and were finalists in two other categories. We have also been nominated for an ATSI Award along with two of our Aboriginal volunteers. All of this was achieved through the support of the Committee of Management, the staff and pool of Volunteers, partnerships and regional collaborations, our loyal locals plus funding bodies that make it possible for the projects and services to go ahead.
