Family Advocacy provides advocacy advice, leadership training and events, capacity building workshops and resources for families, who have a family member with developmental disability. It also undertakes Systemic Advocacy. Family Advocacy has a wide range of resources, articles and publications as well as online resources around various topics that are inspiring and empowering to families. Through these activities and support, families gain advocacy skills, knowledge and understanding that enable them to speak up and seek opportunities with and on behalf of their family members. This then leads their family member to enjoy the same environments, lifestyles and living conditions that are afforded to most Australians.
