In 2024, The Farm celebrated ten years on the Gold Coast with a milestone year that marked both reflection and growth. We completed our Major Festival Initiative tours with Stunt Double in Perth, the Gold Coast and Canberra, were nominated for a Greenroom Award for Hold Me Closer Tony Danza in Melbourne, and brought our Queensland version of Social Muscle Club back to its home in Berlin. On the Gold Coast, we launched a new program to nurture and connect our local arts community, and at Bleach Festival gathered ten artists over ten days on Burleigh Beach to create 10 a sitespecific performance celebrating a decade of creative risktaking and collaboration. We also began developing a new immersive children s work commissioned by Berlinbased TanzZeit and invited by Purple Festival, and attended Tanzmesse, the largest contemporary dance market, to connect with international presenters and artists. Alongside this, we continued to support independent and emerging artists through creative developments, residencies, mentorship, and sector workshops. 2024 was a coming of age for The Farm honouring a decade of impact while boldly leaping into new works at home and abroad.
