Our mission is to support women, children and pets (and sometimes men) escaping domestic abuse and coercive control. Our holistic approach means we support our clients with the highest efficacy and trauma informed practices. This includes extensive advocacy work to assure our clients understand the legal and regulatory processes that are ongoing and affect the next steps and choices they make. During the last year the complexity of client's needs have increased, including the needs by the children and pets, and we have met these needs with high proficiency and compassion. 95% of our clients are long term and continue to utilise various services offered to them on their journey to healing. Our education program for multicultural and diverse placements has increased extensively. We have developed and implement a rigid programme that provides increased knowledge and skill in several areas including community engagement, emotional intelligence and casemanagement. We pride ourselves on improving the knowledge of domestic violence and risk of homelessness to young adults who are seeking to call Australia home.
