The Endeavour hills Neighbourhood Centre INC is a public institution which has the charitable purpose of advancing social and public welfare. It is an adult learning centre that delivers a range of classes including English, Computer, recreational exercise, craft and friendship groups. The centre aims to : Advance mental health and prevent social isolation Deliver programs which enable users to develop positive relationships with each other and their community. Provide high quality services in ways which promote human dignity and that reflect the changing needs of the community. Ensure that the programs are nondiscriminatory and are planned, implemented, managed and evaluated in a consultative and participative manner. Keep fees as low as possible in keeping with our notforprofit status. Recognize the importance of craft and creativity in the development of not only personal skills but in the foundation of forming long and lasting friendships. Provide or encourage innovative services. Liaise and cooperate with other community service agencies in developing accessible and relevant services and advocate publicly on behalf of those who require services. Provide a welcoming nonthreatening environment for group participants. Participate in any activity, research or evaluation, which will assist in the promotion or improvement of the above services
