The Daylesford Foundation provided vital support to individuals and families experiencing significant challenges in their life and are unable to access other relevantfunding. The support provided enables those people to participate and thrive in the community with practical support that aims to have a lasting impact on their lives. We work with other communitybased organisations to identify people who meet the criteria for funding, who have exhausted other avenues and will gain most benefit from the assistance. We were also instrumental in mobilising a range of other groups and individuals to provide practical in kind support that extends the financial contribution. The foundation provided scholarships which are tailored to each individual student s needs to support them to transition successfully to the next stage of their life. Applicants receive support such as rent, on campus accommodation, laptops, uniforms, transport assistance and books. The L2P program in partnership with the Ballarat Foundation and the TransportAccident Commission (TAC) continues to assist young drivers in Hepburn shire who don t have access to family support or a car to learn to drive. The foundation initiated a school funding program, involving all schools in Hepburn shire, aimed at individual children and young people to support transitions between kinder, primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Additional funding is available for excursions, swimming, and lunch time clubs. The foundation also funds a literacy program (MacqLit) for primary schools.
