We improved nature conservation outcomes locally through securing the registration of several properties in the Land for Wildlife program, promoting nature conservation to individuals and the wider community (site visits, presentations, a local 'Picnic for Nature' and distribution of TreeTroff birdbaths in partnership with WIRES), and continued delivery of bush regeneration services on public and private lands by contractors and volunteers. We monitored the granting of Exploration Licences, the activities of mining companies and released the results from a community Land Use Survey conducted in conjunction with Southern Cross University. To assist with improved outcomes for koalas, we provided support for the proposed Great Koala National Park and advice via representation on a Community Advisory Panel established by the NSW Government. Members were also active in the local council's Koala Working Group.
