About The Charles Sturt Memorial Museum Trust Incorporated

Our mission is to conserve and promote the historic colonial home of the explorer Captain Charles Sturt and his significant collection of historic artefacts. With the completion of the Visitor Centre and Exhibition Gallery we have continued to enhance of Exhibition space with new gallery lighting throughout, installation of a Mila Wall to display a new element to the narrative of Sturt, his engagement with First Nations People. We have installed new LED lighting in The Grange homestead, renovated the pantry and have conserved a number of historic artefacts. Our Heritage Garden continues to flourish and we have increased our visitations of seniors groups for Devonshire Teas and tours. Training of tour guides has been a focus.
