The overall purpose of the Centre for Public Integrity is to undertake and publish highquality, independent research into areas central to the prevention of corruption in Australia. Our activities are aimed at eliminating the undue influence of money in politics, ensuring our executive branch plays by the rules, protecting the independence and continued existence of our accountability institutions, and ensuring that public power is exercised in a transparent manner. Our research continues to play a distinctive role by informing the Australian public, media, and policy makers of major weaknesses which exist in the above areas, and offering actionable ways of addressing them.
