In 2024, 119,122 people engaged with a Bell Shakespeare performance or event either in person or online. We delivered 500 live performances in theatres, schools, and communities across Australia. Bell Shakespeare reached 79% of federal electorates through our learning and outreach programs. Our much loved Education program engaged 76,241 students and teachers in person or online. Our Players performed to 61,774 primary and secondary students. 4,313 students around Australia participated in a Bell Shakespeare workshop or seminar. We delivered 12 Artist In Residence programs across three states and territories, reaching 1,269 students, including students in Christmas Island. We were thrilled to welcome 28 teachers from seven states and territories, who joined us as part of our Regional Teacher Mentorship program, supported by the Australian Government and Teachers Mutual Bank. This professional development program held in our education space... The Seed delivered another an uplifting experience and provided an opportunity to support our national teachers who have also had a difficult several years. We sent them back to all corners of Australia, reinvigorated and with a suite of creative teaching skills to support them both personally and professionally. With the flexibility of our own home, we were able to realise a significant number of public programs in 2024 including school holiday performances and workshops for primary aged students and their families; our Play In A Day program; a range of panel discussions and special events presented throughout the year and HSC Shakespeare Seminars in partnership with The University of Sydney
