Our charity, unique in Australia for its exclusive focus on clinical and surgical cardiothoracic conditions, has made a significant impact on patients living with heart and lung disease. Our mission to foster research and apply science to improve the outcomes for patients facing heart or lung surgery is continually advanced by our support of cardiothoracic surgical training, individual researchers, research projects and collaboratives. The latter includes the Centre for Heart Failure and Diseases of the Aorta, which provides benchtobedside solutions for cardiothoracic health due to its unique access to the world's largest heart biobank, an aorta biobank and preclinical models of heart failure and aortic disease.
