About The Australian Hand Surgery Society
Our main education activity each year is organising an Annual Scientific Meeting for members. In 2024 we held a combined meeting with the American Hand Surgery Society and we supported various Statebased domestic meetings. Techniques of hand surgery are presented and discussed. Robust research of outcomes are also presented. Meetings are open to all members and have a combination of both International and Australian keynote speakers. We are the organisers and providers of the RACS PFET program in Hand Surgery which provides newly graduated plastic and orthopaedic surgeons with further training in hand surgery, to become subspecialised and highly skilled hand surgeons.
