Talkback Assoc For Aphasia IncRegistered

The Talkback Association for Aphasia Inc (also known as Aphasia SA) has provided support for people living with aphasia and their caregivers. Aphasia SA has run social events for people with aphasia and their caregivers to increase their opportunities for social interactions. It has supported Talkback groups to provide peer support and social opportunities for people with aphasia and provided information about aphasia to people with aphasia and their caregivers. OT students from Uni SA worked with Speech Pathologists and members with aphasia to determine awareness of referral to Aphasia SA and what members of Aphasia SA want. Aphasia SA supported several research projects (in conjunction with Uni SA) by disseminating information to members and assisting in recruiting participants for projects, including investigating How carers cope in caring for someone with aphasia and Carers of people with aphasia with pets .
