Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption Inc.

We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome companion animals from pounds, and other homeless animals. We operate a volunteer based foster care system, and a private shelter to rehabilitate animals who are sick, injured and have special needs. We have a NO KILL policy. We provide vet and specialist care, and behavioural training. We promote responsible pet ownership and prevention of cruelty to animals. All the animals we re home are microchipped, vaccinated, and desexed. Our dogs are heart worm tested, and our cats are FIV tested. Some of our rescued pets have ongoing manageable medical conditions. Our vet expenses are our largest cost and greatest ongoing challenge. We receive no funding of any kind and depend on our own fundraising efforts, and donations from the public in order to make our vital work possible. We provide advice and support to members of the community with pet problems and re homing. We run fundraising appeals to support pet rescuers, animal sanctuaries, and others in times of crisis, including through natural disasters and other emergencies
