We help people to tackle major health challenges in their life through the friendships, connections, knowledge and lived experience of peer support groups. We referred over 7000 Queenslanders to support groups. We assisted 371 peer support groups with specific support requests, provided general information to 570 and maintained connection to over 1200 groups. We promoted the power of support groups to help their people to the public, governments and health professionals. We promoted social prescribing to support groups as a key strategy to help people to improve their health and wellbeing.
