Sudd Foundation Ltd. s purpose, mission, vision, values, and programming, rooted in evidence from recent peerreviewed research on best practice with South Sudanese and AfricanAustralian communities: Purpose Sudd Foundation exists to support and empower African South Sudanese Australians, youth, children, families, elders, and the wider community, by addressing disadvantage, enhancing mental health and wellbeing, advancing education and training, boosting employment prospects and networks, and supporting housing access to reduce youth homelessness and recidivism Mission Our mission is to create culturally responsive, communityled solutions that foster resilience, opportunity, and connection for South Sudanese Australians and the broader AfricanAustralian population. Through holistic programs, we break down barriers to education, employment, and housing, promote mental health, and provide critical support to those at risk of exclusion or disadvantage, including youth transitioning from the justice system. We also care for community wellbeing through animal rescue and rehabilitation. Vision We envision a vibrant, inclusive society where African South Sudanese Australians thrive, free from discrimination and disadvantage, and where all beings, human and animal, are valued and supported. Our goal is for every young person to access life skills, education, and opportunity; for families to feel connected and supported; and for communities to flourish in wellbeing, safety, and belonging.
