We pursue our public charitable object of providing relief against poverty, distress and helplessness by providing sustainable, safe, affordable and sensitively managed housing for people in housing need and experiencing difficulties securing and maintaining appropriate housing. In doing this, we are guided by our purpose to collaboratively shape and provide great places and connect people to opportunity to improve quality of life. Our core activity is to provide social housing and affordable housing. We strongly believe that it is only when individuals have opportunities to settle and create a home, that they can access other services and opportunities to help them thrive. In addition to our core activities, we provide a range of initiatives to improve the lives of tenants such as training, education, employment and community engagement opportunities designed to address social exclusion and create pathways out of poverty and the cycle of disadvantage. We seek to contribute to community discussion and public and housing policies and we work to find ways to achieve our purpose with various stakeholders who can assist the community housing sector to deliver more housing.
