SportsUnited provided opportunities for people at risk of social exclusion to participate in organised sport at no or minimal cost. SportsUnited, with the support of locally trained volunteers, provided programs that enabled those at risk of social exclusion, in particular children with Autism and older people, the opportunity to engage in sport and physical activities. SportsUnited also collected evidence regarding the impact and outcome of its programs for participants and volunteers by conducting evaluation/research in collaboration with SA universities.
